Emanuel Lozada Ruiz,

Known artistically as EmaDrums, is a drummer, musical director, and producer from Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. With over 20 years of experience in drumming and musical direction, he has built a distinguished career, earning national and international recognition for his energy, precision, and musical sensitivity.

He is currently the lead drummer for the Jazz Hamilton Orchestra, led by acclaimed Puerto Rican saxophonist, composer, and musical director Jazz Hamilton. Known for his mastery of classical, jazz, Latin jazz, smooth jazz, and salsa, Hamilton has toured globally and collaborated with legends such as Tito Puente, Giovanni Hidalgo, Sammy Davis Jr., and Andy Montañez. Emanuel’s recent inclusion in this prestigious ensemble highlights his versatility and excellence in live jazz performance.

 

Emanuel also serves as the drummer for RPD Church and previously held the role of music director at Harvest Community Church in Orlando, Florida, where he provided leadership and excellence in live performances. He has collaborated with renowned ministries and artists including Jesús Worship Center (JWC), Virgiemarie, Leo, Luis Santiago, Esther Marie Tirado, Gadiel Espinosa, Abner Albaladejo, Josuel Nicole, and many others.

In 2025, he performed at Michael Rodriguez’s 30-year career celebration, a live concert recorded in Orlando for an official DVD release, showcasing the power and versatility of his performance.

Emanuel has graced major stages such as the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, House of Blues, Ole Red, and many others, solidifying his presence in high-profile venues across the country.

As a music educator, he has taught at institutions including TDR Academy, Fine Arts of the West Academy, Finalis Music, Victor’s Academy, and SESO. His passion for education is amplified through his sponsorships with Soultone Cymbals and Collision Drumsticks, which have led him to offer clinics and workshops, including his participation in West Drummer Fest, where he shared the stage with renowned drummer Fidel Morales of the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music.

🎓 His academic background includes studies in classical music, jazz, and Latin jazz at the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, where he played in the jazz ensemble under the direction of Professor Edwin Luciano.
